Enrolment
If you are interested in enrolling at our school, please download and complete and Enrolment Form / request an Enrolment Form from our school office at st.arnaud.ps@education.vic.gov.au or 54951028. Our school follows the Department of Education’s Enrolment Policy for the enrolment, placement, and transfer of students.
Students who live within the school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. To find out whether you live in zone, visit www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au
All other applications will be considered subject to available space, and prioritised according to:
- students with a sibling at the same permanent address who are attending the school at the same time
- all other students in order of closeness of their home to the school.
Required documents
- Completed Enrolment Form
- Evidence of identity and date of birth (for example, a birth certificate or passport) ·
- Immunisation Status Certificate [primary school only]
You will also be required to provide information about:
- your contact details
- emergency contact details
- health information about your child (such as allergies or illnesses they need to manage)
- other legal orders relating to your child and their welfare (if any)
Prep enrolments
The Department of Education has a statewide Prep enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including our school. Parents who are considering which school to send their child to St. Arnaud are invited to make an appointment for a School Tour - we strongly encourage parents to come and look for themselves, especially during school hours, to look around our school and ask any questions about our programs or curriculum, while classrooms are in action.
During "transition" visits we encourage you to bring your child up to visit the school and become comfortable with the school environment.
St Arnaud Primary School offers a welcoming environment where parents are always welcome.
Your child will benefit greatly by you becoming involved in school activities. If this is not possible, please visit the school as often as possible. If at any time you have concerns about your child's progress or happiness, please do not hesitate to contact the class teacher or the Principal.
