Term 1	28 January* (school teachers start) students 29 January to 4 April
Term 2	22 April to 4 July
Term 3	21 July to 19 September
Term 4	6 October to 19 December

*The first day of Term 1 is a student-free day in all government schools to allow for appropriate planning to take place for the arrival of students. Each year government schools are provided with four student-free days for professional development, school planning and administration, curriculum development, and student assessment and reporting purposes. The remaining three student-free days are determined by each individual school, so contact your school for details.

School Times

8.55-10.55am	First Session - Literacy Block
10.55-11am	Supervised Eating time
11.00-11.20am	Morning Recess
11.20-1.20pm	Second Session - Numeracy, Art, STEM, Music, French, PE etc
1.20-1.30pm	Lunchtime - Children eat lunch under supervision
1.30-2.00pm	Play Time
2.00-3.00pm	Afternoon session - Art, STEM, Music, French, PE etc
3.00pm	School dismissed

These are normal school times. Any changes necessary are notified to parents via the School Newsletter. This includes notification of days when children are not to attend school. These include Curriculum Days when teachers undertake professional development.
