A Message from the Principal

St Arnaud Primary School is set in a quiet residential area in close proximity to the Lord Nelson Park sporting complex (home to football, netball, hockey, harness racing and the Annual St Arnaud Agricultural Show). Our school has generous well-kept grounds consisting of a well maintained oval, two adventure playgrounds, sandpits, an orchard, vegetable gardens and our very own forest area, enjoyed by 110 students and their families, and our 18 Staff.

A strength of our school is the value placed on community by students, staff, families and local residents and the level of active parent involvement.  We believe in and are committed to providing quality learning experiences that offer our students both support and challenge to enable them to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes that are transferrable and adaptable to whatever their future holds.

Our school values of respect, resilience, kindness, honesty and aspiration underpin a culture of inclusivity, connectedness and sense of belonging within the school. We combine strong, everlasting traditions and with innovative and contemporary practice.

Our programs are the prescribed curriculum for all government schools. Teachers differentiate the curriculum and personalise learning to meet the learning needs of our students. Specialist programs are offered in Physical Education, Visual Arts and Instrumental Music in a range of indoor and outdoor learning spaces.

Parents are invited to be actively involved in many facets of the school including Parent Club, fundraising, parent helpers in the classroom, School Council, volunteer work in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program and Breakfast Club, gardens, school camps and excursions. The level of parent support is a feature of the school and is greatly valued.

We welcome you to visit our school to find out more about our learning community.
