History
St.Arnaud Primary School 1646, in its present site, offically opened on Friday 27th of April 1928 by Mr. F. Tate Director of Education. It was designed by State Architect H.Bastow and constructed by local builder A.E.H. Preece a month under time and costing 9,999 pound. The Hon. J.W. Pennigton M.L.A, described on the day, the building as "a maginificent structure of which any city or town might be proud. No finer building could be found in the State". The building is unique because of its spanish rendered style.
